• Negotiate for the most competitive rates and source optimal shipping solution to maximize potential earnings to fulfill the containerized shipments requirement to destination markets.
• Responsible for supporting refineries operation in planning and executing efficient transportation from the point of origin to the point of discharge via sea modes whilst meeting customer requirements in a timely, cost‑effective manner.
• To ensure the maintenance of new and existing SDGI Centralized Freighting Standard Operating Procedures ("SOP") together with Business Units ("BUs") / Process Owners as well as to ensure the SOPs are streamlined to Group Policies.
• Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues as and when required and carry out continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.
• Efficient data analysis working with Group Digital team to generate reports on freight‑spend, top destinations and service provider management.
• Updating Container Movement Datasheet, Monthly Freight List, Containerized Market Outlook, providing reports, as and when needed.
• Other duties as required by the company.
