Overview
To be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records, supporting audit and compliance requirements, and assisting in the continuous improvement of accounting operations. This role ensures the integrity of financial reporting and supports the company’s financial decision-making processes.
Job Responsibilities
- To handle full set of accounts and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- To prepare accurate monthly financial reports and analysis for internal review and management decision-making.
- To review and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank transactions, and intercompany balances.
- To monitor and manage cash flow, including preparation of cash flow forecasts and identifying funding requirements.
- To prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors during interim and year-end audits.
- To ensure compliance statutory accounting requirements and internal control policies relevant to the gold and jewellery industry.
- To maintain proper documentation and records of all financial transactions in accordance with audit and regulatory standards. Assist with and provide backup for cashiering duties when needed.
- To liaise with banks, auditors, and other external parties on finance-related matters.
- To support process improvement initiatives and assist in implementing and maintaining effective accounting systems.
- To supervise or provide guidance to junior finance team members as assigned by the HOD.
- To assist the HOD in preparing annual budgets, financial forecasts, and ad-hoc financial reports.
Job Requirements
Degree in Accountancy or Professional Qualifications ACCA, CIMA and / or MACPA or equivalent. Exposure in financial and management accounting.Minimum 3 years of working experience in accounting position with experience in accounting analysis.Strong analytical skills and meticulous.Required skills : MS Excel, MS Office, Sun Accounting System.Independent and possess a high degree of self-motivation, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Company
