Overview
The Assistant Manager – Export Sales will be responsible for developing and managing international sales accounts, building strong distributor, agent and customer relationships, and ensuring revenue growth in targeted export markets. The role requires strong knowledge of global trade practices, export documentation, and competitive market positioning. Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Identify and develop new export markets and customers for the company’s products. Manage existing accounts to achieve volume, revenue, and margin targets. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with overseas customers and distributors. Monitor competitor activity and market trends to adjust strategies.
Export Operations & Documentation
Coordinate with logistics, finance, and production teams to ensure timely shipment and order fulfillment. Oversee preparation of export documentation (invoices, packing lists, LC documents, certificates of origin, etc.). Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and incoterms.
Customer Relationship Management
Maintain strong communication with key overseas clients. Address and resolve customer queries, complaints, and quality feedback. Conduct business trips, trade fairs, and virtual meetings to strengthen customer engagement.
Reporting & Strategy
Track sales performance against monthly / quarterly targets. Provide regular market reports, sales forecasts, and competitor analysis. Support the Export Sales Manager in executing strategic sales initiatives.
