PLC Engineer

Responsibilities

Design, program, and maintain PLC and SCADA systems for automation projects.
Develop ladder logic, function block, and structured text programs for industrial controllers.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize PLC-based control systems.
Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers on automation solutions.
Integrate PLCs with HMI (Human Machine Interface), sensors, actuators, and industrial networks.
Perform system testing, commissioning, and on-site support.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.

2+ years of experience in PLC programming and automation (advantage).

Proficiency in Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Omron PLCs (Schneider, Mitsubishi and ABB PLCs optional).

Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, Profibus, Ethernet / IP, etc.).

Experience with SCADA, HMI development, and industrial networking.

Ability to read electrical schematics and P&ID diagrams.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to travel for installations and support (if required).

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (Optional).

Extra Qualifications

Experience with C++, Python, or other scripting languages for automation.

Familiarity with SQL databases and IoT integration.
