Overview

about the company A growing organization in the health and nutrition industry, specializing in dietary supplements and functional food products. The company is committed to innovation, quality, and regulatory compliance, with a strong focus on bringing effective and safe products to market.

Responsibilities

  • Support or lead R&D initiatives to develop and enhance dietary supplements (powders, capsules, gummies, functional foods).
  • Research new ingredients, formulations, and delivery technologies to drive innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, production, and quality teams to align on product development.
  • Oversee product testing, including stability, bioavailability, and clinical validation where required.
  • Manage cost-effectiveness of raw materials and establish strong supplier / contract manufacturer partnerships.
  • Stay up to date with market and scientific trends to support product innovation.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of scientists and product developers.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and product specifications.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or related discipline.
  • Junior level : 1–3 years of experience in R&D, preferably in nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food industry.
  • Senior / Manager level : 5+ years of R&D experience with proven leadership in product development.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, GMP, DSHEA, NSF).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

    • Nice to have

  • Experience in novel product formulation (functional foods, advanced supplements).
  • Knowledge of clinical trial design and scientific research methods.
  • Hands-on experience in encapsulation, flavor systems, or bioavailability enhancement.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property and patent processes.
