Job Summary

The role holder is responsible in providing legal advice to BPMB Group to protect BPMB Group's interests and prevent / minimize legal risks.

Job Description

  • Highlight and provide advice on financial exposure / risk to the requesting function / stakeholder during document review, if any.
  • Highlight the Group's position(s) and negotiated based on input provided by internal stakeholders / positions of the Group, whichever applicable.
  • Ensure documents are reviewed and completed within the required timeline.
  • Improve customer service and satisfaction.
  • Review document and highlight legal risk(s) to the requesting function.
  • Obtain input / feedback from requesting function / relevant stakeholders prior to finalization of document.
  • Liaise with external parties and as and when required.
  • Attend related courses to enhance legal knowledge and skills (minimum 16 credit hours per year).
  • Discuss and / or share with Group Legal on issues or new legal development.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor of Law (LL.B).
  • Admission to the Bar / obtain Certificate of Legal Practise is an advantage.
  • Atleast 2-3 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Experience working with financial institution is added advantage.
  • Knowledge in drafting & vetting legal documents.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Substantial knowledge of Malaysian law is an added advantage
