Job descriptionCoordinate and maintain the IT checklist and IT procedures, including creating, modifying, and updating them to ensure they are always up to date. Perform and ensure complete and accurate system restorations and testing by all departments. Monitor the back office system status and performance, including performing daily server health checks. Liaise with back office vendors regarding any system problems. Provide support for back office systems, such as setting up personal computers, printers, and application software as needed. Liaise with Bursa Malaysia, BNM, and SC on any related issues. Provide documentation and liaise with External and Internal Auditors as needed. Execute any tasks assigned from time to time by the supervisor and / or management. Diploma / Degree or professional qualification in IT / Computer Science / Computer Engineering. 2 - 3 years' experience in IT Service management. Experienced in IT operations and system management. Knowledgeable in network access and connectivity. Understanding of stockbroking operations. Strong communication skills. Knowledge of AS400 commands and back-office system applications. Familiar with stockbroking operational functions that support start-of-day, mid-of-day, and end-of-day system processing.
Job Purpose
Monitor daily and monthly back-office operations and processing
- Perform operator duties for file transfers between Bursa Malaysia Securities Clearing Sdn Bhd (SCANS, eFIX, CMF), OMS, external banks, financial accounting systems, and internal systems, ensuring the integrity of file transfers at all times.
- Perform and check start-of-day, mid-of-day, and end-of-day processing to ensure timeliness and completeness.
- Ensure all reports are printed and distributed daily, weekly, and monthly as required. Ensure the archiving system, NETREPORT (for softcopy reports), functions correctly and on time.
- Monitor the back-office system status and performance.
- Monitor back-office operations and processing daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Monitor and manage backups daily, weekly, and monthly.
