Position Summary :
The IT personnel will be responsible to manage the advanced ICT technical support and advice service to administrative and curriculum areas as required across the school and agreed in negotiation with the ICT Subject HOD and / or School Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities :
I. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- To maintain the school management system (iSAMS), providing the lead for the management and co-ordination of efficient procedures relating to school assessment data systems, maintaining accuracy, integrity and confidentiality.
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 IT support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and IT equipment (PCs, printers, CCTVs, etc.).
- To manage the reporting of pupil progress to parents, including the setting up of the reporting system in iSAMS and the production of the reports with relevant members of staff.
- Respond to and resolve IT Helpdesk requests and incidents within agreed timelines.
II. System & Network Administration
Monitor and maintain servers, networks, firewalls, and internet connectivity.Manage user accounts, access permissions, and security groups in Active Directory and Admin Console.Perform regular system updates, security patches, and data backups.III. IT Security & Compliance
Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.Ensure data protection, antivirus coverage, and compliance with organizational and industry standards.Monitor for potential security threats, mitigate risks, and escalate issues when necessary.IV. Procurement & Asset Management
Oversee IT inventory, software licenses, and equipment lifecycle management.Prepare Purchase Requisitions for IT-related procurements.Maintain accurate records of IT assets, warranties, and vendor contracts.V. Projects & Implementation
Support IT-related projects including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and contractors for IT solutions.Provide training and guidance to staff on new systems and technologies.Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role.Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, and IT infrastructure.Hands-on experience with Active Directory, firewalls, and backup solutions.Familiarity with IT security principles, antivirus management, and compliance requirements.Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.SAFEGUARDING
