Role Overview :
We are looking for a highly experienced General Manager to lead and scale a fashion retail brand. This leadership position holds end-to-end responsibility for business strategy, retail operations, merchandising, marketing, and financial performance. The GM will ensure profitability, deliver a seamless customer experience, and drive the brand’s long-term success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Execute business strategies to deliver revenue growth, profitability, and market share objectives.
- Build strong partnerships with brand principals, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure effective brand positioning and market relevance.
- Oversee the entire brand rollout, from onboarding through to store openings and market expansion.
- Lead site acquisition and development efforts to secure prime retail locations.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to strengthen brand presence and consumer engagement.
- Manage store launches from site selection and planning to setup and opening execution.
- Supervise day-to-day store operations to ensure efficiency, service excellence, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and enforce operational policies, SOPs, and brand standards including merchandising and visual presentation.
- Take full ownership of the brand’s P&L, managing sales, budgets, expenses, and overall profitability.
- Track and analyse store KPIs, implementing improvements where necessary.
- Prepare forecasts, performance reviews, and business reports for strategic decision-making.
- Work with merchandising teams to plan assortments, seasonal launches, and inventory management.
- Roll out marketing campaigns and promotional activities as approved by leadership.
- Lead, motivate, and develop store managers and operational teams, fostering a culture of high performance.
- Partner with cross-functional departments including merchandising, marketing, finance, and HR to align goals and deliver results.
Requirements
Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in retail operations and brand management, with at least 6-10 years in a senior leadership position.Proven success in launching and expanding retail outlets.Strong expertise in P&L management, financial planning, and brand strategy.Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines.Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with close attention to detail.Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment.Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related discipline.Requirements
