Overview
The Head – People Partner & Engagement is the senior leader responsible for building and sustaining a people-first culture at 2X. This role sets the strategy for workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement across Southeast Asia, ensuring alignment between people priorities and business outcomes. As a visible and trusted partner to practice and functional leadership, this role balances principled decisions with humanity—ensuring our people remain at the heart of everything we do while enabling 2X’s rapid growth as one of the largest B2B Marketing-as-a-Service firms. This leader will champion consistency and clarity across our Southeast Asia delivery centers, protect and strengthen our “One Team” culture, and enable managers to grow and retain top talent while fostering a safe, inclusive, and high-performing environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Strategic People Partnership & Business Alignment
Act as the senior thought partner to practice and functional leadership, ensuring people strategies directly enable business objectives.
Lead workforce planning, talent management, and leadership development strategies that scale with 2X’s growth.Guide leaders through principled but practical people decisions, balancing client demands with long-term people sustainability.Oversee People Partner operating goals and budgets to ensure efficient and impactful use of resources.Retention, Engagement & CultureOwn and drive the employee engagement and retention strategy, using survey data and workforce analytics to move from reactive exits to proactive solutions.
Champion a people-first culture by equipping managers with tools for stay conversations, feedback loops, and recognition practices.Ensure inclusivity, diversity, and belonging are embedded across Southeast Asia, harmonizing approaches so employees experience 2X consistently regardless of location or function.Lead, mentor, and develop the HRBP team to become trusted business advisors.Provide frameworks and best practices for consistent performance management, coaching, and organizational effectiveness.Foster collaboration between HR functional experts (Total Rewards, TA, L&D, ER) and the HRBP team to deliver seamless support to the business.Monitor retention, engagement, and workforce trends to identify risks early and propose proactive solutions.Performance & Leadership DevelopmentGuide leaders in creating a culture of accountability and continuous feedback through effective goal-setting and performance practices.
Partner with Learning & Development to strengthen manager and leadership programs that build capability and resilience.Coach leaders to model respect, dignity, and inclusion in daily decisions and team dynamics.Business Continuity & Employee Well-BeingProvide HR leadership during crisis or incident management, partnering with local teams to ensure continuity and employee safety.
Promote employee well-being programs that support resilience and sustainable performance.Talent & Workforce PlanningPartner with Talent Acquisition to ensure hiring strategies reflect long-term business needs, market realities, and 2X’s unique culture and value proposition.
Drive internal mobility and succession planning frameworks to strengthen leadership continuity.Support practice leaders in shaping job descriptions and interview processes that attract and retain the right talent within defined compensation bands.Compensation, Policy & CompliancePartner with Total Rewards to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices aligned with business goals and local market norms.
Oversee HR policies across Southeast Asia, ensuring clarity, consistency, and fair application.Safeguard compliance with employment laws and internal standards across the region.Qualifications
Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related discipline (preferred).Minimum 15 years of HR experience, with at least 10 years in senior managerial roles.Proven ability to partner with business leaders on complex people decisions in fast-growth, client-centric organizations.Demonstrated expertise across core HR disciplines (recruitment, employee relations, compensation & benefits, talent management, learning, HRIS).Strong analytical capability; able to leverage predictive analytics for retention, ER, workforce planning, and succession strategies.Fluent in English (written and spoken), with strong business communication skills.Seniority level
