The Role
We’re looking for a driven and collaborative Senior Business Development Manager & Account Lead to grow with existing clients and help us expand our reach in the APAC region with a focus on palm and other tropical commodities companies. You’ll work directly with our CEO and global sales team to identify opportunities, develop regional partnerships, and close deals that advance climate and agriculture innovation.
Responsibilities :
- Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities across the APAC region
- Build and nurture relationships with regional partners and clients
- Stay abreast of the key carbon market and supply chain decarbonization industry developments
- Follow the Key Account Management approach : establish a value proposition, sign up large accounts, and grow business with them in palm oil and other tropical commodities.
- Collaborate with the product design team to improve clients added value
- Collaborate with the sales and customer success teams in Europe and the Americas for cross-regional alignment
- Maintain accurate records and pipelines in our CRM
- Represent the company at industry conferences and our annual global offsite (light travel)
Ideal Profile
Requirements :
Based in the APAC region, preferably Kuala Lumpur but flexibleFluent in English (written and spoken) and preferably MalayDeep understanding of the Palm Oil sector with established contacts within this sectorProven experience in business development, sales, and account managementKnowledge in climate finance / carbon market, SBTI FLAG, agriculture, or sustainability sectors, preference for familiarity with palm and tropical commoditiesFluency in GHGP LSRG and SBTi FLAG, strong understanding of carbon accounting methodologies, ISO 14064, circular economy principles, and MRV frameworksExperience using HubSpot or similar CRM systems preferredSelf-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first environmentStrong time management and communication skills, customer-first and consultancy mindsetWhat's on Offer?
