We are looking for a Senior Finance Executive to join our team and take charge of the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and continuous improvement across all finance functions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in preparing financial reports, coordinating audits, managing internal controls, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. A degree in Accounting or Finance and 3–5 years of relevant experience are required, with professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA) being an advantage. Key Responsibilities :
Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements including Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly closing, including accruals, prepayments, journal entries, and general ledger (GL) reconciliations.
- Maintain and monitor chart of account, project accounting, and Project Percentage of Completion (POC) reporting.
- Prepare and manage statutory accounts in compliance with applicable financial reporting standards (e.g., MFRS / IFRS).
Audit & Tax Compliance
Lead the preparation of audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors for annual statutory audits.Manage corporate income tax (CIT), withholding tax (WHT) or other relevant tax filings with support from external tax agents.Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.Respond to queries from statutory bodies and ensure timely submission of statutory documents.Process Improvement & Systems Enhancement
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, and reconciliation processes.Support implementation of finance automation initiatives, such as e-invoicing systems and ERP systems (e.g., ProAlpha) enhancements.Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing across all finance functions.Review and enhance internal controls and actively support fraud prevention initiatives.Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and financial planning models.Analyze variances between actual and budgeted results, providing insights and recommendations to management.Support cost optimization and financial efficiency initiatives.Treasury & Cash Flow Management
Monitor cash flow, banking activities, and liquidity management.Review and manage Letter of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantee (BG) applications, and related banking documentation.Liaise with banks on daily operations and relationship management.Ad-hoc Projects & Intercompany Coordination
Handle AIFTA documentation and compliance.Support intercompany billing, inventory reconciliation, and related group reporting.Coordinate with other departments or regional offices on cross-functional finance matters.Qualifications & Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW) is preferred.Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, audit, or corporate finance.Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.Proficient in accounting software / ERP systems (e.g., ProAlpha, SAP).Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Good interpersonal and communication skills.High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
