Overview
Overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth, efficient service and good product quality based on Standard Operating Procedures for Christine's Bakery outlet.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy of inventory levels, ordering supplies, and managing stock holding in restaurant.
- Ensure excellent customer experience and handling customer issues.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, health codes, and company standards.
- Ensure efficiency opening & closing procedures, cash handling & daily operational reporting.
- Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and service.
- Provide regular reporting to Operations Manager on outlet-level performance, team development, and improvement priorities.
- Resolve all potential service failure issues.
- Manage expenses, track costs, and develop strategies to maximize profitability.
- Drive profitability through sales growth, cost management, and operational efficiency.
- Implement strategies to increase sales and achieve financial targets.
- Analyse daily, weekly & monthly sales performance against target and manage mitigation of sales performance.
- Prepare and analyse P&L according to category COGs, COLs, EBITDA, variance & wastage; identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure key performance indicators of sales, including Average Check & Transactions (customer count), align with customer targets.
- Ensure operating expenses including utilities and maintenance costs are in control.
- Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and coach as needed.
- Lead and motivate the team to achieve goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Recruit, train, mentor & certify restaurant employees and key staff. Lead and supervise teams during shifts.
- Implement strategic sales & marketing plans, promotions activities and campaigns.
- Plan and execute promotional events and campaigns.
- Foster positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve restaurant performance and profitability.
- Brand Consistency & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all products meet Christine Bakery's premium quality standards and visual presentation.
- Maintain consistency in recipes, portion sizes, and plating according to brand guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain outlet ambiance, cleanliness, and visual merchandising standards.
- Ensure proper handling and display of fresh baked goods throughout operating hours.
- Conduct regular quality audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian food safety regulations, health codes, and halal certification requirements.
- Implement and maintain workplace safety standards and emergency procedures.
- Manage licensing, permits, and regulatory compliance for mall-based operations.
- Ensure compliance with mall management requirements and operational guidelines.
Job Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate or Diploma in Food & Beverage, Hospitality, Hotel Management or equivalent.Minimum 5 years’ working experience in a supervisory role in a similar industry.Those without professional qualifications must have a minimum of 6 years of related full-time experience in a similar industry with a good track record.Ability to speak, read and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia fluently.Proficient in the full spectrum of casual / fine-dining restaurant function, including food planning and preparation, cost management, customer handling, workplace safety & security, regulatory requirements, people management, recordkeeping, etc.Understand and have experience working with Point-Of-Sales (POS) systems.Application Questions
