Overview
The Senior Restaurant Manager at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill has overall responsibility for the operational and financial performance of the restaurant. This senior leadership position involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, service excellence and driving business growth. The Senior Restaurant Manager will lead a dynamic team, implement exemplary standards of service, and collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to maintain the excellence associated with the Gordon Ramsay brand.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of daily restaurant operations, ensuring the highest levels of service, cleanliness, and efficiency.
Implement and uphold Gordon Ramsay's standards for food & beverage quality, presentation, and service.Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to maintain smooth and seamless operations.Guest Experience :Leading from the front, to ensure an unparalleled guest experience by maintaining impeccable service standards and attending to guest feedback.
Regularly interact with guests, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience.Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure menu offerings meet and exceed guest expectations.Assist with the development and management of budgets, financial reports, and cost control measures to maximize profitability.Monitor and analyse key financial metrics, such as sales, expenses, and labour costs.Implement strategies to achieve revenue targets and enhance overall financial performance.Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.Motivate and inspire the team to achieve high levels of performance and guest satisfaction.Marketing and Promotion :Collaborate with the DOFB and marketing teams to develop and execute effective promotional campaigns, events, and initiatives to drive traffic and revenue.
Utilize social media and other marketing channels to enhance the restaurant's online presence and engage with guests.Participate in community events and partnerships to promote the restaurant.Compliance and Safety :Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and licensing requirements.
Implement and enforce policies and procedures related to employee conduct, safety, and hygiene.Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions.Other Related Job Responsibilities :Attends and contributes to all training sessions and meetings as required.
Involves in multi – skilling in the department.Exercises responsible behavior at all times and positively representing the hotel team.Maintains strong, professional relationship with relevant representatives from the hotel’s staffs, leadership team, competitor hotels, business partners and other organizations.Reads the hotel's Associate Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to computer resources, fire, hygiene, health and safety.Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.Responds to changes in the departmental functions as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.Understand and agree that the hotel management reserves the right to add or remove clauses to these job descriptions.Carry out all duties / tasks as instructed by the leadership team from Sunway City Kuala Lumpur Hotels that are within the parameters of Sunway Values and Purpose.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Open for Non-MalaysianExperience
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in restaurant management, with a proven track record of success in a high-end or fine dining establishment.Skills
Extensive knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house functions.Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control.Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and upholding the standards of a renowned chef's brand.Proficiency in restaurant management software, point-of-sale systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.Seniority level
