Job Overview
The Quantity Surveying (QS) Lecturer will be tasked with delivering effective and engaging instruction through lectures, seminars, and tutorials across various QS topics. In addition, the role involves contributing to course design, conducting academic research, and supervising student projects.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Teaching :
- Prepare and teach lectures, seminars, and tutorials on a range of QS subjects such as cost management, contract procedures, and measurement techniques.
- Evaluate student work through assessments, including tests, assignments, and presentations.
- Offer academic support and mentoring to students.
2. Curriculum Development :
Participate in the design and continuous improvement of QS programs and course content.Ensure curriculum remains current by integrating industry trends and advancements.3. Research :
Engage in scholarly research in QS-related areas to support academic excellence and professional contribution.Share research outcomes through publications and presentations at academic events.4. Student Supervision :
Guide undergraduate and postgraduate students through their research projects and dissertations.Provide ongoing academic and professional advice and support to students.5. Industry Collaboration :
Build and maintain strong connections with QS professionals and industry stakeholders.Facilitate industry exposure for students through site visits and guest lectures.Qualifications and Skills Required
A Master's degree or higher in Quantity Surveying or a closely related discipline.Demonstrated experience teaching QS subjects at the tertiary level.Deep understanding of QS concepts, practices, and industry standards.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Dedication to ongoing professional development and learning.Job Type : Full-time
