We are seeking an experienced and resourceful HR Manager to independently manage the full spectrum of Human Resources activities for our Malaysia office. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong HR expertise who can partner closely with senior management and headquarters while ensuring smooth HR operations locally. The HR Manager will oversee recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, training, and benefits administration without direct reports, acting as the primary HR contact for the office.
Responsibilities
- HR Operations & Workforce Planning : Independently manage the full HR function in the Malaysia office. Partner with department heads and headquarters to understand staffing needs and lead recruitment processes. Develop and update job descriptions for all positions.
- Employee Relations : Act as the main point of contact for all employee relations matters. Handle employee inquiries and issues in a timely and confidential manner. Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture through proactive engagement initiatives.
- Performance Management : Implement and manage performance review processes. Provide guidance to managers on performance-related issues and employee development plans.
- Compliance and Policy Management : Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment laws and regulations. Maintain and update HR policies and procedures to reflect legal requirements and best practices.
- Training and Development : Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs for new hires. Identify training needs and liaise with headquarters or external providers to organize development programs.
- Compensation and Benefits Administration : Administer employee benefits programs and respond to employee inquiries. Provide input on compensation matters to attract and retain talent.
- HR Reporting and Analytics : Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports for headquarters and senior management. Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Collaboration with Headquarters : Act as the liaison between the Malaysia office and the HR team at headquarters. Ensure alignment of local HR practices with company-wide policies and initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum 4–6 years of progressive HR experience, preferably with independent responsibility for HR operations (BPO industry experience is an advantage).In-depth knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and HR practices.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.What We Offer
