Associate, Communications (Contract)

This role brings stories to life — through content, design, and digital strategy. You’ll support our communications and branding work across youth-focused programs by creating content that inspires, informs, and activates. Whether it's a killer poster, a scroll-stopping reel, or on-the-ground event coverage — your creative touch will help amplify the voices of young changemakers. You’ll work closely with our Senior Communications Associate to manage content calendars, edit visuals, shoot videos, and support campaign storytelling on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Bonus if you're confident behind the camera and quick with Adobe or Canva. Social Media Management and Content Creation - Support the curation and scheduling of content for official social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.). - Monitor platform performance and track engagement metrics such as reach, likes, shares, and comments. - Assist in preparing and editing captions, posts, and write-ups aligned with brand voice and target audience. - Maintain a weekly editorial calendar in coordination with the Communications and Creative teams. Campaign and Program Communications - Support the execution of communications for campaigns and programs including creating social media content, event posts, and video snippets. - Attend program events to capture highlights (photos, videos, stories) and coordinate with the team to prepare post-event content. - Ensure timely delivery of program-related communication tasks such as interviews, highlight reels, and event summaries. - Attend programs and campaigns to capture behind-the-scenes moments, interviews, and stories. Basic Graphic and Video Support - Use design tools such as Canva to assist in the creation of simple graphics, posters, or content decks. - Edit short-form videos and reels using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or Canva Video. - Support the video production process including script drafting, research, or acting as on-screen talent when required. - Coordinate with the Creative Team on content asset requests and deliverables. • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Design, or any creative / media-related field. -Internship experience or prior involvement in social media management, content creation, or campaign coordination is preferred. -Previous experience or a strong portfolio in video editing, photography, or other content creation is an advantage. -Strong communication skills in both English and Malay, especially for writing captions and storytelling. -Ability to operate a DSLR camera and basic photography equipment, including tripod, lighting, and microphone. -Proficiency with editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, and Canva. -Willingness to work on weekends or travel for event coverage, when required.
