About the Role

An established international energy organisation is seeking an experienced HSSE Manager to lead Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental operations across multiple renewable energy projects in Malaysia. This position plays a key role in shaping and delivering safety excellence from the ground up, covering all project phases from construction to operation. The role focuses on embedding a proactive safety culture, ensuring legal compliance, and driving continuous improvement across all HSSE systems, contractors, and on-site activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage the company's HSSE Management System in line with local regulations and corporate standards.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian OSH and environmental legislation and liaise with relevant government authorities.
• Develop and maintain the country's HSSE strategy, risk registers, and training plans.
• Lead risk management initiatives, including hazard identification, PTW, and SIMOPS assessments.
• Oversee contractor HSSE performance, audits, and improvement programmes.
• Lead emergency response planning, training, and crisis management activities.
• Conduct site inspections, behavioural safety observations, and internal audits.
• Support incident investigation processes using recognised methodologies (e.g., ICAM, 5-Whys).
• Drive regional collaboration and best practice sharing across project teams.
