Job Description
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans to drive room night revenue from corporate accounts and travel agencies. You will be the key point of contact, fostering strong partnerships and ensuring the hotel meets and exceeds its sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Acquisition : Identify, target, and secure new corporate accounts and travel agents locally, nationally, and internationally.
Account Management : Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing corporate clients and travel agents, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.
Revenue Generation : Actively solicit and negotiate corporate rates, group bookings, and long-term stay agreements to maximize room revenue and occupancy.
Sales Activities : Conduct sales calls, presentations, and hotel site inspections for potential clients. Participate in trade shows and sales missions as required.
Contract Management : Prepare and process sales proposals, contracts, and function sheets accurately and in a timely manner.
Market Intelligence : Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
Collaboration : Work closely with the Reservations, Front Office, and Banquets departments to ensure seamless execution of client requirements and a flawless guest experience.
Reporting : Maintain an updated pipeline and prepare regular sales reports for the Director of Sales & Marketing.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s / College Degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of proven sales experience in a hotel or hospitality environment, with a strong focus on corporate and travel agent segments.
Existing portfolio of contacts in the corporate and travel trade is a significant advantage .
Technical & Personal Skills
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
Self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven with a hunter mentality.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Salesforce).
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
