Job description

As a Technical Lead focusing on ITOM development and configuration on the ServiceNow platform, this resource will deliver finalized ServiceNow Discovery Solutions utilizing the ServiceNow Discovery Module.

Responsibilities

Work with process owners to understand the business service architecture and required information related to business / service map data and develop technical specifications and solutions
Work with systems managers to ensure that the Discovery tool has the appropriate access and permissions to capture configuration information
Provide visibility to the performance and issues related to Discovery
Collaborate with Infrastructure Architects to understand IT technology strategy that guide which requirements need to be gathered
Work with Application SMEs to create and validate Service Maps for key applications
Maintain the integrity of the Service Mapping module across production and non-production environments
Installation / Configuration and implementation of the discovery tool

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

At least 3 years of experience in CSDM led CMDB implementation using Service Now platform.

At least 5 years of experience in Implementing Service Mapping solutions for multiple customers

Strong troubleshooting skills, reading logs, solving complex workflow issues;

Writing maintainable code as per best coding practices wherever required.

Experience in designing, development, and implementation of automated processes for gathering, populating, and maintaining CMDB data

Experience in Writing custom patterns for discovering custom / in-house applications

Scripting and coding Discovery Patterns, CMDB, CMDB Types and Scripting

Knowledgeable and familiar in the ServiceNow Discovery / Service Mapping offerings.

Experience in Coding, Test Scripts and Configuration for ServiceNow Service Mapping along with ability to configure ServiceNow MID Servers in customer environments

Delivering technical workshops on Service Mapping, Discovery, integration with full knowledge of CMDB / AMDB Lifecycle
