Manager - Construction

Responsibilities

Responsible for the implementation of the construction works commencing from the tender award to the practical completion of projects. Responsibility for implementing projects as per the construction drawings and contract requirements. To monitor and ensure the progress of construction works is on schedule and complied with the required quality standard. Responsible to keep track the progress billing stage completion. To attend all Authorities’ inspection. To attend Board of Directors’ Meeting, Management Meeting, Authorities’ meeting and, to chair Construction Implementation and Control Meeting. Recommendation on Variation Order (if any) for General Manager’s approval. To liaise with other heads of department such as contract matters, approval status and future development. To liaise with Architects and consultants on technical matters in relation to construction works. To approve all staffs monthly claim and COW over time claim. Participating in manpower planning, interview and recruitment. Consistently advocate sustainable environmental planning into department’s. To demonstrate leadership and commitment for the overall implementation of the quality and environmental management system in the department / project. Ensure departmental environmental sustainability target / KPI are monitored and reported periodically to respective GM. Ensure applicable environmental responsibilities or authorities for relevant roles within its department are assigned, communicated and maintained as documented information. Take ownership for departmental processes and ensuring relevant environmental procedure and record are retained / updated and conforms to the ISO 14001 requirement. To comply with applicable legal and other requirements. To take responsibility to protect the environment and prevent pollution. To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the Company. Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management. Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering. Good working knowledge of Civil Engineering related to construction and property development. Seniority level
