Product Application Engineer, Industrial Automation role at Schneider Electric

The Product Application Engineer (PAE) provides expert pre‑sales and technical support to the sales team and customers on automation architectures and the Schneider Electric system platform. This role bridges technical expertise with commercial acumen to deliver value‑driven solutions for industrial automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise on automation architectures and Schneider Electric’s system platform.
• Assist customers in defining the best implementation considering requirements and constraints.
• Explain technical advantages of proposed architectures during project discussions.
• Create value and differentiation by providing system & architecture pre‑sales expertise to both end users and integration partners (pre‑project consultation, feasibility study, audit, etc.) in a “for‑a‑fee” mode.
• Collaborate with sales teams across Schneider Electric business units to identify and build opportunities.
• Drive pre‑sales and specification activities for Digital Plant and EcoStruxure Plant solutions, with and without AVEVA integration.
• Lead and support marketing activity of SE’s system platform in webinars, events, training, tradeshows.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (LoB, sales, marketing) to share updates and key developments.
