Job Description
1. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and manage the dealership’s sales team (sales executives, consultants, and possibly finance staff).
- Set individual and team sales targets, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback.
- Conduct training and development sessions to improve product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.
- Recruit, onboard, and coach new sales personnel.
2. Sales Strategy & Business Development
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve dealership revenue and profit targets.Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to refine sales approaches.Identify new business opportunities, including corporate accounts, fleet sales, or partnerships.Collaborate with marketing to run promotions, campaigns, and events that drive showroom traffic.3. Customer Relationship Management
Ensure excellent customer experience throughout the sales process.Resolve escalated customer issues, complaints, or disputes professionally.Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, corporate customers, and repeat buyers.4. Financial & Operational Oversight
Oversee sales operations, including inventory management, pricing, and reporting.Monitor sales performance metrics, including lead conversion, gross profit, and units sold.Ensure compliance with financing, insurance, and regulatory requirements.Coordinate with the finance and service departments to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability.5. Reporting & Administration
Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market insights for senior management.Set budgets and monitor sales expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, contracts, and sales transactions.6. Collaboration
Work closely with marketing, service, and parts departments to align sales efforts with overall dealership objectives.Participate in promotional events, trade shows, and community engagement activities.Requirements
