The Role : Architect, Creator, and Executor
Are you a strategic creative who can seamlessly transition from high-level strategy to hands-on execution ? We're seeking a dynamic Social Media Strategist & Video Creator to own the end-to-end social content lifecycle for our diverse client portfolio. This is a high-impact role where you'll be the architect of BAU (Business-As-Usual) content strategies , taking the lead on everything from concept, hands-on filming and editing, to driving performance across major social platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Pitching (The Architect)
- Lead the strategic vision for client social media platforms, covering both BAU and campaign-based content.
- Analyze client briefs (marketing goals, challenges, competitor landscape) to craft tailored, platform-native content strategies (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
- Design funnel-based content journeys and strategic pillars across video, image, written, and audio formats to directly meet measurable client objectives (KPIs).
- Be the trendspotter —continuously bringing new digital and social trends into creative ideation and planning.
End-to-End Content Execution & Management (The Executor)
Own the entire BAU content pipeline , from internal ideation through to final client publishing.Serve as the primary content point-of-contact for assigned clients, expertly managing expectations, approvals, revisions, and ad-hoc requests.Drive project timeliness and quality , coordinating seamlessly with internal strategists, creatives, and production teams to ensure all deliverables are aligned.Hands-On Video Production & Editing (The Creator)
Participate actively in video shoots across various industries, contributing to art direction and operating filming equipment.Lead the editing and enhancement of video content for digital use, ensuring professional quality and platform-appropriate formatting (e.g., vertical video, varying aspect ratios).Perform final quality assurance and manage direct publishing across all assigned digital channels.Performance, Insights & Optimization (The Analyst)
Go beyond delivery —continuously monitor content performance data (engagement, reach, growth, conversions).Prepare and present monthly reports with clear, actionable insights and data-driven recommendations for strategy adjustment and improvement.Track competitor activity and community sentiment to inform content evolutions.Qualifications
What You MUST Have
Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia, Creative Arts, Advertising, Marketing, or a related field.
3–5 years of progressive experience in a content strategy or video creation role, preferably within a digital agency setting.Proven track record of managing client social media content calendars and BAU deliverables.Hands-on, professional proficiency in video production and editing (camera operation, editing software, post-production).Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia .Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Bonus Points
Experience with content funneling, content pillars, and advanced strategic planning.A portfolio that demonstrates a strong grasp of current digital content formats and social media platform-native behavior (e.g., TikTok trends, Instagram Reels best practices).Client servicing experience with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.Willingness to travel occasionally for production or client engagements.Why You Should Join Our Team
