Foreman lorry repair

Position Overview

The Foreman (Lorry) is responsible for supervising daily transport operations, ensuring all lorries, drivers, and loading / unloading activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and regulations. The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of vehicle maintenance, and hands-on management at site and workshop levels.

Key Responsibilities

Transport Operations

Plan and monitor daily lorry schedules, routes, and assignments.

• Ensure timely delivery and collection of materials, equipment, and goods.
• Supervise drivers and helpers, ensuring punctuality, discipline, and safety.

Vehicle Maintenance & Safety

Check lorries daily (engine oil, brakes, tyres, road tax, insurance).

Ensure all lorries comply with JPJ, PUSPAKOM, and safety regulations.

Staff Supervision

Lead and monitor drivers, loading workers, and yard staff.

Conduct toolbox briefings and enforce company safety rules.

Administration & Reporting

Maintain logbooks, trip sheets, and fuel usage records.

Monitor overtime, attendance, and performance of drivers / helpers.

Continuous Improvement

Suggest improvements to reduce downtime and operating costs.
