Project Controls Senior Manager / Head
A Project Controls Senior Manager / Head is a senior position responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and risk management of projects. The role is crucial for ensuring that a project stays within its scope and timeline. The director supervises a team of project controls professionals and works closely with other departments to monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Scheduling : Setting realistic timelines for each phase of the project and ensuring that deadlines are met to keep the project on track and avoid delays that can lead to increased costs.
- Risk Management : Anticipating potential issues that could affect the project and devising strategies to minimize or mitigate those risks. A proactive approach to risk management is a critical skill and direct past experience must be demonstrated.
- Project Reporting : Providing regular reports to stakeholders and senior management on the project’s progress, including detailed metrics and analyses of the project’s schedule and overall performance.
- Team Management : Ensuring that all team members are equipped with the tools and knowledge to perform their tasks efficiently.
Requirements for this role
A degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.).Minimum 15 years of project controls experience for large‑scale infrastructure and / or building (high‑rise, industrial & commercial) projects.Experience in mission‑critical projects is an added advantage.Strong working knowledge in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.Ability to create precise reports for management reporting.Experience in carrying out delay analysis.Ability to forecast potential delays.Knowledge of contract forms (PAM, JKR, IEM, FIDIC, etc.) will be an added advantage.Here is managed exclusively by Ashley Mathew.
