MaxToys ApS is a Danish toy importer working closely with suppliers in China and customers across Europe. We are looking for a proactive colleague who can help us build more innovative data systems and support our daily operations. This is a work-from-home position, with preference for candidates based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will join our existing team of 3 colleagues already located in the Kuala Lumpur area.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain advanced Excel tools to optimize workflows
- Build and organize a product database to streamline cooperation with customers and suppliers
- Communication directly with Chinese suppliers (in Mandarin) about product details, specifications, and documentation.
- Assist with product sourcing, quotations, and supplier follow-up
- Prepare and update price lists, catalogs, and product presentations for customers
- Support with logistics coordination (documents, shipping info, customs papers)
- Assist in quality checks, safety documents, and test reports (with guidance from the team)
- Help structure and maintain contracts, invoices, and agreements in shared systems
- Prepare reports, product lists, and analysis for internal and external use
- Be flexible to support management with various ad-hoc tasks typical for a small, fast-moving company.
Your Profile :
Strong skills in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Query; macros / VBA is a plus)Experience with databases, ERP systems, or structured product managementFluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English (Danish is an advantage)Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (or nearby), with a reliable home office setupDetail-oriented, structured, and solution-focusedComfortable handling multiple different tasks and adapting to changing prioritiesExperience from import / export, product sourcing, or international trade is an advantageKnowledge of documentation, logistics, and / or compliance for products is a bonusOpen to occasional travel to Denmark for training and to learn more about our businessWe Offer :
