Job Title : Lecturer – Computing & Analytics

Reports To : Head of Programme / Dean

Accountable To : Board of Governors (BOG), including Rector, Vice Rector, Principal, Deputy Principal, and Financial Controller

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for undergraduate and / or diploma programs in :

IT, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Data Science

Engage both local and international students using innovative and inclusive teaching methods.

Prepare course materials, assessments, and learning resources aligned with MQA standards.

Supervise student projects, internships, and academic progress.

Curriculum Reactivation & Quality Assurance

Collaborate closely with the Head of Programme, academic team, and quality office to :

Review and reactivate expired or near-expiry syllabi in IT, AI, Math, and Data Science.

Align curriculum with MQA's Code of Practice for Programme Accreditation (COPPA).

Support documentation and evidence-building for MQA / PA and MQA / FA submissions.

Participate in internal audits and external reviews to ensure compliance and readiness.

Academic Development & Research

Contribute to scholarly activities, research publications, and academic conferences.

Stay updated with emerging technologies and pedagogical trends in computing and analytics.

Support the development of TVET-aligned modules and micro-credentials.

Student Engagement & Support

Provide academic counseling and mentorship to students.

Participate in student recruitment activities, open days, and education fairs.

Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Institutional Contribution

Attend faculty meetings, curriculum committees, and strategic planning sessions.

Qualifications & Skills

Master's degree (or PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Mathematics, or related field.

Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in higher education.

Strong communication, teamwork, and curriculum planning skills.

Proficiency in LMS platforms, coding tools, and data analytics software.
