Join our fast-growing fintech operations team as a Payment Operations Specialist , where you’ll be at the heart of ensuring the accuracy, stability, and efficiency of our payment systems.
In this role, you will manage end-to-end payment operations , safeguard transaction integrity, and work closely with Finance, Tech, and Operations teams to enhance processes, improve automation, and maintain seamless payment experiences across global markets.
Location : Kuala Lumpur (Easily Accessible by Public Transport)
Rotational Shifts : Morning / Night / Midnight
WFH Flexibility : Available for Night & Midnight Shifts (with Daily Allowances)
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Management
Process and monitor daily payments, wallet top-ups, and refunds.
Ensure timely, accurate, and secure payment execution across all channels.
Coordinate with banks, PSPs, and payment gateways to resolve transaction issues promptly.
Support the onboarding and ongoing performance review of payment partners.
Risk & Compliance Control
Review and validate withdrawal requests, monitor potential fraud or AML risks, and elevate when required.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regional financial regulations.
System Monitoring & Incident Handling
Monitor system performance to ensure uptime, reliability, and payment stability.
Support UAT testing and elevate technical incidents for quick resolution.
Prepare daily / monthly transaction reports and reconciliation summaries.
Assist in variance analysis to maintain accurate financial records.
Process Optimization
Review and update SOPs for continuous improvement.
Collaborate across departments to streamline workflows and drive operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Diploma / Degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science , or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in fintech, payments, e-wallets, or banking operations.
Strong understanding of payment flows, PSPs, settlements, compliance, and risk management.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel ; experience with ERP or reconciliation tools is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of APIs or payment system structures preferred.
Flexible to work rotational shifts (including weekends / public holidays).
Proficient in Mandarin and English for effective communication with regional teams.
