Job Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership & Value Creation
- Architect and execute Group-level financial strategies that align with the company vision and enable sustained profitability and shareholder value.
- Partner with the Managing Director and the Board to advise on capital structure, investment prioritisation, and portfolio optimisation.
- Drive enterprise-wide financial transformation initiatives, embedding a performance-driven and value-focused culture.
Investor Relations & External Representation
Serve as the principal financial spokesperson of the Group, cultivating strong relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and regulatory authorities.Lead quarterly earnings calls, AGMs, and investor roadshows, articulating financial performance and strategic direction with credibility and foresight.Champion transparency and proactive communication to enhance market confidence and support the Group’s public-listed stature.Business Expansion & M&A Execution
Lead financial evaluation, deal structuring, and execution of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships across Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and new markets.Provide strategic oversight to ensure seamless post-merger integration and realisation of expected synergies and business value.Partner with business units to identify and assess expansion opportunities that support company long-term growth aspirations.Integrated Business Planning (IBP) & Strategic Alignment
Actively drive financial integration into Group IBP processes to ensure alignment between strategic objectives and operational execution.Provide forward-looking financial modelling, scenario planning, and analytics to support agile and informed decision-making.Collaborate cross-functionally to optimise resource allocation and business outcomes across all segments.Enterprise Governance & Risk Management
Strengthen Group-wide financial governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with Bursa Malaysia requirements and international standards.Establish robust risk management practices to safeguard company’s assets, reputation, and financial resilience in a dynamic market environment.Provide strategic counsel to the Board Audit & Risk Committee on financial risks and mitigation strategies.Capital & Treasury Management
Oversee Group-wide treasury operations, cash flow management, and funding strategies to ensure optimal capital allocation and liquidity.Lead discussions on debt management and investment prioritization to support the Group’s growth ambitions and operational stability.Technology Enablement & Operational Excellence
Champion digital transformation of finance systems and processes, including ERP enhancements and advanced analytics tools.Embed process standardization and cost optimization practices across finance operations to deliver greater efficiency and accuracy.Finance Leadership Development (Supportive Role)
Provide strategic direction and mentorship to senior finance leaders to build a capable and agile finance leadership pipeline for the Group.Foster a high-performing finance culture anchored in accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, economics, a professional qualification (ACCA / CPA / ICAEW / MICPA) or equivalentPossess at least 10 years’ experience in financial managerial position, preferably in manufacturing industryA member of MIA or any other professional qualificationsUnlock job insights
