Wireless Logic Asia Pacific . Role overview : The APAC Technical Pre-Sales Engineer will provide expert consultancy and pre-sales activities, sharing technical and product knowledge with customers. The successful candidate will accompany Sales colleagues on customer meetings and industry events. Your Daily Quest (Key Responsibilities)
Attend meetings and events with the team and potential clients to determine technical and business requirements and ensure that all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution Provide technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally Deliver training on solutions and provide product support to channel partners and internal stakeholders Create internal design configuration documentation including network diagrams with technical explanations Prepare Statements of Works or Customer Requirements Specification or other agreed document to describe the agreed customer solution Work with Product Management to feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products Build productive relationships internally and externally, fostering teamwork by keeping colleagues updated on activities Perform technical development for bespoke solutions as part of a design and development framework Provide accurate and timely management information, including activity reports, bid reviews, project forecasts and KPIs; adhere to the Company’s Quality and Business Processes Structure and produce compelling sales proposals and both commercial and technical documentation Interface with the implementation / project team to ensure smooth transition from sale to delivery Demonstrate products and technologies effectively to audiences of varied technical knowledge Deliver chargeable technical services to new and existing customers for products Build technical relationships with prospects and / or existing customers Support the Sales Team with customer-facing technical pre-sales assistance Deliver product presentations and demonstrations, and provide support at external and internal customer-facing events Build custom demonstrations and deliver Proof Of Concepts (POC) Compare competitive products to specify the most advantageous solutions for customers Take a leading role in specifying technical solutions, the associated internal consultation, writing of proposals and tender responses Build and maintain a good working knowledge of all products and value-added services (VAS) in the Solutions Portfolio Provide input to the Solutions Team centralised knowledge base Support and stand in for Technical Account Managers as required The Secret Sauce (Key Experience & Skills)
Technical consultancy customer-facing experience Proven technical and IT services pre-sales experience Proposal and tender writing experience Good commercial acumen Excellent presentation and demonstration skills Excellent organisational skills Good listening skills Ability to explain and present technical solutions Excellent relationship-building skills Affinity to both sales and technology functions Essential Experience
