Senior Applications and Proposal Engineer, PS
Overview
- leads the presentation and development of process solutions, addressing complex technical inquiries and ensuring feasibility.
- mentor junior engineers, manages customer relationships, and coordinate follow-up and negotiations with sales.
- leads the development of comprehensive proposals / solutions for complex projects, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders (sales, BD, product, applications) and market / customer demands.
- Involves preparing detailed cost estimates, engaging in contract negotiations, and collaborating with internal teams and junior engineers to ensure successful tender submissions and alignment with organizational goals.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Independently present standardized and customized process solutions to customers.Develop attractive business cases to be presented to customers and other external stakeholders.Formulate and implement a strategic plan to optimize company positioning and maximize the probability of securing the project.Define and propose application proposal, collaborating with solution and process engineers to ensure feasibility.Clearly articulate the value proposition of proposed solutions to customers and internal teams.Follow up on leads and negotiate proposals and contracts in coordination with sales.Lead the preparation and compilation of tender documentsCoordinate with various departments to gather necessary inputs and ensure cohesive and accurate proposal submissions.Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.Direct, mentor, and lead junior engineers, providing guidance and support.Cross-region supporting from application, product and costing etcRelated work experience
5-9 years’ experience in sales, applications & process technology in chemical industry and experienced in chemicals and fine chemicals industrial area is preferred.Be more appreciated with plant operation and DCS control practices.Familiar with equipment, instrument and other components used in chemical plant is preferred.Familiar with EPC tendering processes, including bid documentation, bid preparation and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.A background in process simulation will be regarded as a strong advantage.Formal education or equivalent
University & minimum in bachelor’s degree, preferably in chemical engineeringSkills
