About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Event Executive (Mandarin Speaker) to join our growing team at Tropica Beauty Sdn. Bhd. in Batu Caves, Selangor. As a full-time Event Executive, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of a diverse range of events to support our marketing and brand-building efforts.

What you’ll be doing

  • Communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients, vendors or partners when required.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize and design engaging event experiences that align with the company's brand and objectives.
  • Manage the end-to-end event planning process, including venue selection, vendor coordination, budgeting, and logistics.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for event attendees, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience.
  • Oversee the on-site event management, including team supervision and problem-solving.
  • Collect and analyze post-event feedback to continuously improve our event planning and execution.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and materials.

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in event management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to deliver unique and memorable event experiences.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken, is essential.
  • Willing to work on weekends or outside office hours when required during events.
