We are looking for a skilled

Shell Script Developer

to join our team and support critical infrastructure and enterprise systems. This role involves working within a Unix / Linux environment and managing scripts, databases, middleware technologies, and operational tools to ensure seamless IT service delivery. IMPORTANT : Only Malaysian locals or PR candidates can apply Tenure : 6-10 years relevant experience Key Responsibilities : Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot

shell scripts

in a Linux / Unix environment. Write and optimize complex

SQL queries , primarily in an

Oracle

database setting. Work with middleware technologies such as

FTP

servers and

MQ messaging systems . Support and monitor batch jobs using job scheduling tools, with a preference for experience in

Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) for Z / OS . Utilize

monitoring tools

and

incident management systems

to ensure system uptime and rapid issue resolution. Contribute to problem management, root cause analysis, and service improvement initiatives. Follow and help improve processes aligned with the

ITIL framework

or similar service management best practices. (Bonus) Leverage familiarity with

Citrix

environments to assist in cross-functional support. Must-Haves : 6-10 years of proven work experience in the related field Proven experience with

shell scripting

in Linux / Unix environments Strong proficiency in

SQL , especially in Oracle-based environments. Understanding of

middleware

technologies (FTP, MQ). Experience with

monitoring tools

and

incident management

workflows. Good understanding of

ITIL
