Overview
Assist the Estate Manager in managing the day-to-day field operations including harvesting, transportation of fresh fruit bunches, maintenance, infrastructure, upkeep and development of the overall estate according to plantation standards (MSPO) and regulations.
Possess the ability to formulate and plan budgets, quality control, and financial functions.
Monitor, evaluate and control all operational activities to ensure in accordance with the work plan, budget and to meet the estate targets (e.g. harvesting targets, revenue targets) set by management.
Plan and implement efficient work schedules to achieve estate goals and targets, able to adapt plans due to unforeseen circumstances.
Able to control all phases and aspects of estate works, including co-ordinate and supervise work programs, staff and workers, agricultural practices, FFB production, budgeting accounts, stores, office procedures, management of cost of production effectively across the estate.
Manage store (fertilizer, chemicals, POL, etc.), machinery and other tools.
Actively involved in MSPO / RSPO compliances and support estate administration in ensuring all activities are in compliance with MSPO requirements.
Involve in manpower planning, workers’ recruitment process and liaise with various government department.
Ensure operational efficiency, manage and control plantation activities in accordance to good industry practices.
Proactive in identifying and rectifying any issues that may arise, recommend improvements and lead the implementation of improvements so as to improve overall performance of the plantation.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports, forecast, yearly budget and ad-hoc reports including estate updates during site visits by headquarter members.
Able to work independently under minimal supervision.
Perform any tasks / duties assigned by Estate manager / management.
Requirements :
Preferably a candidate who should possess Bachelor’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma in Agriculture / Plantation Technology and Management or equivalent.
Candidate must possess at least 3 years working experience in palm oil estates and as an Assistant Manager, preferably field orientated.
Experience in managing at least 1,300 hectare planted field and hilly terrain, oil palm nursery, replanting, management of mature and immature phase, good field operational management including costing, budgeting, execution of plans and comply to MSPO standards.
Experience in foreign workers management and GIS / GPS mapping management.
Strong problem solving skills, good leadership and interpersonal skill and able to effectively communicate and motivate staff and workers.
Proactive, driven, detailed-oriented and independent individual, able to work together with Headquarters and Estate teams.
Possess administration skills to produce reports and to interpret / analyse.
Preferred language : Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa English. Hindi and Bangla will be an added advantage.
Applicants must be willing to work in Trolak, Perak.
