THE ROLE :

AMD IT provides a globally available, scalable infrastructure for engineering and business teams. The IT Platforms Engineering team is responsible for managing our Engineering, Business and Accelerated computing infrastructure. Our mission is to provide a cloud‑like experience for employees to access High Performance Compute (HPC), Enterprise data platforms and Elastic Cloud for creating breakthrough FPGA / Converged silicon.

THE PERSON :

You have a passion for learning. You are ready to understand how IT infrastructure works and delivers value to tech companies. You like taking responsibility for end‑to‑end outcomes of your efforts. You want to create great IT services from hardware, software, people and processes within a high‑tech organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Install / Configure / Support Linux OS and data infrastructure.
• Design and deploy Linux / Engineering infrastructure automation.
• Design and develop automation software in Python or other equivalent scripting language.
• Help install / configure hardware / software within lab / datacenter spaces.
• Work with internal customers in managing incident tickets to achieve operational excellence.
• Work with global team to provide support and complete IT projects.
• Help build application services for IT, using cloud technologies.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :

Systems Engineer Linux general experience of Unix / Linux system administration with :
