Join FINEXUS as a Network & Information Security Engineer Intern to support network security monitoring, device configuration, and vulnerability assessments.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing :
- Assist in monitoring, analyzing, and securing network systems to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Collaborate with the IT team to configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Support the implementation of security measures, such as intrusion detection systems (IDS) and endpoint protection solutions.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments, security audits, and risk analyses to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of security documentation, including policies, procedures, and user guides.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Contribute to the setup and maintenance of virtual private networks (VPNs) and access control mechanisms.
- Research and stay updated on emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
- Provide technical support for network and security-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
About You
What you'll need :
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Network & Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum CGPA of 3.30 or equivalent academic performance.Final-year students or those available for a 5‑6 month internship program.Understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, Wireless, and Firewalls.Basic understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP) and information security concepts.Familiarity with firewall configurations, intrusion detection / prevention systems (IDS / IPS), and VPN technologies is a plus.Eagerness to learn and stay updated on the latest trends in network and cybersecurity.This job may close before the stated closing date, you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible
