Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g. MFRS, IFRS) and tax regulations.
• Supervise the team, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against budget and providing variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including the preparation and submission of SST, corporate income tax, and withholding tax filings.
• Review and strengthen the internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support finance system enhancements and process improvements.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary and other regulatory authorities.
• Assist and handle any ad-hoc assignments when assigned by superior.
• Stay up to date with the changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations.
