We are looking to hire a Senior Fashion Designer for womenswear with an understanding of the Asian market. To ensure success you will need to have good communications skills, as you will be working with colleagues across various departments. If you are creative, have a deep passion for fashion and ready to take up the challenge, this will be the role for you.

Responsibilities

• Create and conceptualize fashion designs by hand or using computer-aided design software;
• Conceptualize & design for seasonal / festive collections and year-round wear;
• Able to align our designs to meet the demands of our target customers / market groups;
• Keep up-to-date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours and shapes;
• Manage the design process from conception through to final styling;
• Source, analyze and select fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishment;
• Adapt existing designs for mass production;
• Check and ensure the finishing quality and fitting measurements for all new samples are according to the specification before proceeding for mass production;
• This job requires close liaison and communication with suppliers / business partners in China.
