Penerangan pekerjaanRelevant qualifications Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering Substantial & progressive technical / sales experience in the upstream oil and gas sector is essential. Experience with drilling equipment rental or tubular services businesses an advantage but not critical At least 12 years' experience in field operations of which 5 years in a technical advisory or mid-management position with a service company or an operator Understanding offshore drilling practices and drilling engineering principles including well design is preferred Thorough understanding of customer requirements and market conditions and the products / applications and service of primary focus. Demonstrable previous success with winning work and growing a solid client base Sound local and regional knowledge of the oil & gas market Commercially astute with experience in major tender preparation Excellent presentation skills both written and oral in English & Bahasa Malaysia PC literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Must be able to work in Malaysia without visa / employment permit suppor

ROLE DESCRIPTION
Workstrings International - a Superior Energy Services company - is the global, leading oilfield equipment rental company providing quality primary drill strings, tubing, landing strings, completion tubulars, handling equipment and accessories using in-house engineering and cutting-edge technologies. The Company has developed and nurtured a proud reputation for delivering quality products on time, within budget and to the highest safety and environmental standards.
We are now looking for a self-driven and confident candidate to join our team in the capacity of Account Manager. The candidate will be based in Kuala Lumpur. The role includes technical support, market intelligence gathering, customer relationship management, and all aspects of business acquisition from prospecting opportunities, leading the tender response process to finalizing the contract.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate revenue and grow Superior Energy's / Workstrings International's brand through sales calls, presentations, telemarketing, personal networking, customer entertainment and representation at industry conferences and trade shows
- Devise and implement an organisational plan of regular customer visits to build strong relationships and business opportunities; consolidate existing customer relationships and actively pursue all new potential customers
- Develop close professional relations with key decision makers and influencers. Stay current on relevant technologies to deliver fitting solutions to meet client needs
- Ensure that Workstrings is fully aware of existing and future work scopes and contract requirements for all potential customers and are positioned to bid on all opportunities
- Create quotation / commercial proposals and maintain activity logs
- Be prepared to deliver timely on-call customer support as an integral part of a small team
- Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but willing to travel within the APAC region as needed
