Head of Sales

The incumbent will be responsible for leading the complete spectrum of Industrial Sales & Sales Management for customers in Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, Philippines, and Indonesia. Drive significant sales growth in these markets with a focus on equipment and consumables such as PET strap, steel strap, tools, standard equipment, airbags, parts & services.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base
- Oversee sales operations across SEA for equipment, consumable products, spare parts & services
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet regional sales targets and business objectives
- Manage and lead sales teams in Malaysia and Thailand, ensuring high performance and alignment with regional goals
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development to team members
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and ensure targets are met or exceeded
- Monitor and analyze sales data, preparing regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends; manage annual budgeting / target setting with monthly reporting & outlook presentations
- Present sales performance metrics to senior management and recommend actions for improvement
- Track KPIs, ensuring targets are met and identifying areas for operational or sales process improvements
- Ensure all projects and related data are properly recorded & maintained in Signode CRM system
- Identify new market opportunities within SEA and adapt strategies for different markets for the various products and services
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with regional and global initiatives
Qualifications & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; master’s degree is advantageousRelevant mechanical or technical backgroundExperience
10 to 15 years of experience in industrial sales & sales management, preferably in the packaging industry with customer bases in metal, automotive, FMCG, F&B, and logistics sectorsComputer Skills
Proficient in MS OfficeStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAbility to communicate articulately and efficiently with othersCore Competencies
Hunter mindset & well versed in selling premium products; demonstrate knowledge and experience in value and solution sellingPackaging equipment knowledge, specifically end‑of‑line applications for strapping, stretch wrapping, ASRS and case handlingHighly advantageous if have experience in transit packaging, or have worked with competitorsExperience managing a sales team across geographies; distributor / agent experience is an advantageSeniority Level
