Business Development Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new customer acquisition in Malaysia. This role focuses on building and nurturing a pipeline of enterprise opportunities, engaging with mid- to senior-level decision makers, and supporting VIDA’s go-to-market strategy across BFSI, fintech, eCommerce, and telecommunications (telco) sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities into closed deals.

Manage the end-to-end sales process : prospecting, pitching, proposal development, and contract negotiation. Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers at banks, fintechs, telcos, and large enterprises.

Cross-Functional Collaboration : partner with product, marketing, and operations teams to design solutions and ensure customer success.

Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and report on progress using CRM tools (Hubspot).

Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.

Qualifications

8+ years of B2B enterprise sales or business development experience in BFSI, fintech, SaaS, telco, or regtech.

Strong network in Malaysia’s financial services, telco, and fintech ecosystems.

Proven ability to close enterprise-level deals and manage long sales cycles.

Experience selling SaaS, APIs, or compliance / identity solutions preferred.

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
