Supply Planning Team Leader – bp Kuala Lumpur

bp offers a collaborative environment where diverse teams work together to drive operational excellence. As a Supply Planning Team Leader, you will support the onboarding of planners, day‑to‑day management, and supply planning excellence.
What You Will Deliver
Team Leadership
- Proven experience leading and developing teams; building new teams is highly valued.
- Experience in handling and measuring performance and conducting employee performance reviews.
- High level of communication skill that meets all team members’ needs, and an ability to create an open work environment.
- Skilled at providing feedback and ongoing coaching to teams.
Supply Network Planning Expertise
Accountable for conducting supply network analysis and providing projections that identify constraints, mitigation options and recommendations to S&OP and Supply Review teams.Own the finished‑goods stock allocation process and oversee inventory management practices while maintaining alignment with forecasted demand, service‑level targets and internal inventory policies.Responsible for supply‑planning data creation and ongoing maintenance in line with Centre of Excellence data‑governance policies.Provide support and data for new product introductions (NPI) or tender opportunities through scenario planning and ensuring full material readiness and production availability.Collaboration & Customer Management
Work closely with Supply Planning Delivery lead, MPS, MRP planners, procurement and plant teams to align production and replenishment strategies with business objectives.Support the S&OE and S&OP processes by working closely with delivery leads and providing insights to resolve supply constraints and improve availability balanced against cost and inventory.What You Will Need To Be Successful
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field.
Experience
Minimum five years in supply planning, replenishment or inventory management within FMCG, food & beverage or manufacturing.
Ability to lead, empower and develop a team of planning professionals, ideally within a global environment.Business proficiency in English and Mandarin.Prior line‑management experience required.Experience in performance management, setting objectives, providing feedback and conducting reviews.Proven expertise in global supply‑planning with a strong understanding of the production‑planning process from raw materials to finished goods.Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and identify trends.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with partners and colleagues at all levels.Highly proficient in digital planning tools (ideally Kinaxis) and exposure to ERP systems such as SAP ECC or S4 HANA.Curious attitude focused on problem‑solving and exploring solutions using data and analytics.Strong coaching and mentoring skills to enhance team members’ capabilities.Experience with recruiting and onboarding teams (desirable).Benefits
