Position Title : EHS Manager

About the Role

The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, systems, and programs that ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards on environment, health, and safety. This role safeguards employees, contractors, and visitors while also protecting company assets and the surrounding community. The EHS Manager acts as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities and ensures that risk management, safety culture, and sustainability initiatives are effectively embedded into daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective communication with local authorities in safety, environmental protection, fire safety, and occupational health to ensure full legal compliance.
• Identify and interpret Malaysian construction project regulations; supervise the compliance of new, renovation, and expansion projects.
• Establish, implement, and maintain safety management systems (ISO45001, ISO14001) and digital platforms; conduct safety training, hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency drills.
• Oversee the full lifecycle management of waste (waste gas, wastewater, solid waste) and ensure environmental compliance for plants and construction projects.
• Identify, assess, and control workplace occupational hazards and health risks; promote employee well-being.
• Manage fire protection equipment and ensure readiness for emergency response.
