Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Procurement Specialist to support Cainiao’s local supply chain business in Malaysia. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement process, including demand analysis, sourcing, bidding, price analysis, contract signing, order and payment management, and supplier performance evaluation. The procurement categories cover engineering equipment, in-warehouse consumables and packaging materials, administration, and labor services.
Responsibilities
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of business scenarios, and become familiar with various categories and supplier resources in Malaysia.
- Evaluate procurement activities using Cainiao’s procurement platform metrics, and design clear, data-driven procurement reports.
- Monitor business evaluation results and identify gaps; collaborate with business teams to conduct root cause analysis, discover control points, and implement improvements.
- Develop and execute cost-reduction and efficiency optimization plans in collaboration with business teams, considering business characteristics, market environment, and cost benchmarks.
- Streamline the end-to-end procurement process, propose optimization initiatives based on business needs, and enhance the procurement experience.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above, familiar with procurement management systems and workflows; ability to quickly adapt to new business scenarios, product systems, and processes, and identify opportunities for improvement.Strong cross-functional collaboration and teamwork skills; resilience under pressure; ability to adapt to a fast-changing business environment.Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience; logistics industry experience preferred.Language requirements : Proficiency in English (verbal and written) and Chinese (verbal).Seniority level
