Technologist (Neuro), Diagnostic Services
Perform a wide range of diagnostic tests, including Electroencephalogram (EEG), EEG Video Telemetry, Polysomnography, Nerve Conduction Studies, Evoked Potential Studies and Electromyography (EMG), in accordance with established protocols and patient safety standards.
Provide mentorship to junior staff by offering guidance on performing procedures, handling neurology equipment safely and adhering to departmental protocols.
Assist in the training and development of new technologists, support troubleshooting efforts and contribute to personnel management within the department.
Participate in other specialized diagnostic services, such as cardiopulmonary and urology, when required.
Ensure the proper care, maintenance and inspection of diagnostic equipment, including troubleshooting, calibration and standardization to maintain optimal performance.
Assist in the inventory management of the department by maintaining accurate stock counts, ensuring the proper storage and preservation of apparatus and equipment, and overseeing the availability of both consumable and non-consumable items, including office supplies and equipment.
Resolve operational-level problems and make informed decisions within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
Proactively seek and act upon customer feedback to enhance the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
Contribute to departmental quality improvement by participating in data collection, analysis and implementation of improvement actions to achieve quality indicator targets.
Collaborate effectively with other technologists, doctors, nurses and staff to ensure the seamless delivery of diagnostic services across the department.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Senior Technologist or Chief Technologist.
Job Requirements
Possess a Diploma or Degree in a relevant laboratory, medical science, or related field of study.
Have 2–5 years of relevant experience as a diagnostic technologist in a hospital setting, with a solid foundation in independently performing routine diagnostic tests.
Fresh graduates in a relevant field are encouraged to apply.
Registered member of the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC).
