Overview

The iTero Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for sales of Align’s iTero Intraoral scanners in Malaysia. The individual will manage the business to achieve Operational Plan in line with company and country strategic objectives through detailed account and territory planning, including targeting plans, managing current and future distributors, establishing account relationships with customers and potential customers, supporting the educational pathway, forecasting, product demos and all sales related activities.

This role requires a proven track record of consistent on-target performance in the medical device / healthcare industry, a strong sales mindset, and a high level of business acumen. The person will build ethical business relationships with customers to drive product usage and increase market share by focusing on high-value activities.

Responsibilities

Customer Management

  • Achieve Operational Plan
  • Identify and resolve customer issues and concerns
  • Develop relationships with existing and potential distributors
  • Develop relationships with existing and potential customers (end users)

Business Development

  • Define and implement a growth-oriented strategy for the assigned territory
  • Identify core segments with highest profitability opportunities
  • Market iTero products as a clear differentiator from the competition
  • Analyze market and competition and adjust strategies to win market share
  • Position iTero as a market- and innovation-leader
  • Provide creative solutions to support customers in obtaining iTero Scanners
  • Take a broad organizational view of selling and managing accounts with knowledge of competitors
  • Support and Training

  • Maintain product knowledge in Dental / Orthodontic medical equipment
  • Maintain broader industry and business knowledge
  • Participate in Align SEA & APAC Sales and Clinical Trainings
  • Support implementation of Align’s Customer Education Pathway
  • Prepare status reports (activity, closings, follow-up, adherence to goals)
  • Set up training programs
  • Deliverables and KPIs

  • Fulfill objectives and deadlines
  • Adhere to KPIs (e.g., Call Rate, Business Planning)
  • Collaborate with team to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Communicate with relevant headquarter functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Minimum 8+ years in sales and business development
  • Proven distributor and indirect team management experience
  • Experience in medical devices preferred (Dental industry) or related sectors
  • Project-driven, hands-on attitude
  • Strong customer focus aligned with business strategy
  • Problem solving and mediation skills
  • Opportunity spotting and persuasive abilities
  • Independent with strong time management
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced presentation and negotiation skills; professional appearance
  • Good working knowledge of English
  • Degree level education preferred (BS / BA) or equivalent experience
  • Integrity, honesty and ethical approach
  • Team-focused, results-oriented, high business acumen
  • Innovative, adaptive, and professional selling skills
  • Leadership at personal and team levels; development focus
  • Support for audit processes and quality management as required
