Responsible to ensure the smooth flow of editorial processes for The Circular and to ensure that all contents are completed, delivered, and approved in good order prior to the monthly deadlines.
Coordinate and liaise with the Head of Department and the Publisher of The Circular ("Publisher") to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely production and publication.
Prepare monthly schedules which include work plans, content lists, proofreading timelines, meetings, and any other required tasks for the monthly production of The Circular prior to print.
Responsible for all contents (for avoidance of doubt, this refers to any content to be provided by RSGC to the Publisher) to ensure timely, accurate, and error-free materials, including but not limited to :
Compiling various contents ahead of deadlines;
Writing, copy-writing, editing, and sub-editing articles;
Sourcing visual materials, selecting photographs, and preparing captions; and
Communicating with members of the Board, content contributors, the Publisher, and other relevant parties as and when required.
Contact and interview RSGC Members, staff, or other persons and write articles about them for featuring in The Circular as and when required by the Board or Management.
Edit, check, and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other structural or syntactical errors in all copies prior to distribution to the Board for review and approval. Ensure the final copy (for submission to the Publisher) is error-free and presented in good order prior to sign-off by the Board.
Schedule, coordinate, and attend all Board meetings (scheduled or ad-hoc) and attend departmental meetings as required.
Attend all RSGC events for the purpose of writing articles on these events, unless otherwise decided by Management.
Draft press releases, attend media events, and communicate with the media as and when required.
Read content and correct spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors; check for clarity and readability.
Rewrite text to make it easier for readers to understand and suggest revisions such as changing words or rearranging sentences and paragraphs to improve clarity or accuracy.
Work with the Head of Departments and employees to help their ideas and stories succeed.
Develop story and content ideas in accordance with the publication’s style and editorial direction.

Responsible for planning, creating and managing digital communication efforts that enhance the Club’s visibility, member engagement and brand consistency across online platforms.
Develop and execute the Club’s digital marketing strategy aligned with departmental communications objectives.
Manage social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn etc.) including content planning, posting and member engagement.
Design and implement monthly content calendars covering events, activities and announcements.
Create visual and multimedia content for digital use (photos, videos, reels, posters, infographics).
Oversee e-newsletters, email blasts (Credence) and SMS campaigns (Mesoka) ensuring clarity, accuracy and timeliness.
Track analytics and prepare monthly reports on social media engagement, reach, click-through rates and content performance.
Manage digital screens and website updates in coordination with the IT team.
Maintain the photo / video library and coordinate visual content for digital archives.
Collaborate with Events, F&B, CSR and Operations teams to promote activities digitally.
Ensure digital communications adhere to branding guidelines and data protection policies.
PUBLIC RELATIONS AND MEDIA COORDINATION
Draft press releases and coordinate media coverage for Club events and initiatives.
Liaise with journalists, prepare media kits and facilitate press attendance when required.
Maintain and update the Club’s media contact database.
Monitor media coverage and prepare summary reports on publicity and PR value.
Support proactive and reactive PR activities to uphold the Club’s public image.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND CROSS-DEPARTMENTAL SUPPORT
Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment and consistency of communication messages and content.
Maintain records, archives, and photographic databases for future reference, documentation, and auditing purposes.
Assist in planning and executing Club, PR, or media events, ensuring smooth coordination across departments.
Provide guidance and support to junior staff, interns, and contributors involved in editorial, digital, or event-related tasks.
Demonstrate strong organisational, coordination, and interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and ensure quality control across administrative and communication functions.
ANY OTHER ASSIGNMENT
Undertake any other duties and assignments as may be reasonably required from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or equivalent.
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in communications, public relations, digital marketing or editorial work.
Experience in content creation, social media management or publication coordination is an advantage.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in social media content creation and management across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn, with the ability to plan, design and post engaging content.
Proficiency in social media management tools such as Meta Business Suite for Facebook and Instagram scheduling, engagement tracking and analytics.
Competent in digital design and publishing tools such as Canva, Google Analytics and email marketing systems.
Creative and resourceful, with good time management and multitasking skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively with multiple departments.
Driven, mature, meticulous and a team player.
Willing to work on shifts, weekends and Public Holidays when required.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
Responsible for executing integrated marketing communications across Club channels.
Ensure the Club’s corporate image and reputation are upheld at all times.
Coordinate and align messaging across departments for consistency and clarity.
Ensure adequate visibility and coverage of all Club events and activities.
Monitor and analyse data to provide statistical reports and recommendations to Management.
Maintain professional relationships with Members, media and stakeholders.
