Job Purpose :
Working with the Company's Sales Team, the Presales Consultant is responsible for providing presales technical support to the Sales team and presenting tailored demonstrations or qualification discussions to customers and prospects. The Presales Consultant also assists in qualifying opportunities—determining whether to pursue or not—and helps expand existing opportunities through effective questioning. The role involves conducting Technical Proof of Concept, Demonstrations, and Presentations of supported products and solutions.
Responsibilities :
Assist Account / Product Managers with qualification of opportunities by providing presales technical support.
Deliver pre-sales technical support and conduct in-depth product demonstrations to customers and partners.
Provide training to partners on products and solutions.
Contribute to and improve technical responses to RFPs and RFIs.
Perform customer demonstrations and presentations.
Coordinate and manage technical validation events (POC).
Manage POC assets.
Participate in conferences, shows, and exhibitions as appropriate.
Recommend and influence market content.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience :
Deep knowledge of vendor products and networking technologies including TCP / IP, UNIX DNS administration, switches, routers, and firewalls.
Strong network and security knowledge.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technologies simply.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Self-motivated and adaptable.
Ability to handle multiple requests efficiently, including unplanned ones.
Ability to follow instructions and seek clarification when needed.
Sensitivity to the needs and concerns of others.
Effective interaction with all management levels.
