Microbiology - Sales, Senior Consultant

Job Description

• Support sales manager in managing day-to-day assigned sales territory accounts and to ensure efficient usage of resources.
• Prepare and implement sales action plans (e.g. plan sales routes, make regular calls / visits, etc.) to achieve sales targets for assigned businesses / territories.
• Provide timely feedback to sales manager on the execution of sales action plans and development areas.
• Execute sales activities for assigned businesses / territories.
• Work along with marketing team for exhibitions and any company events.
• Prepare and / or review quotations, proposals, and contracts to facilitate sales agreements. Monitor competitors' activities / products and ensure to provide comprehensive feedback to sales manager regarding the competition that’s taking place in assigned sales territory.
• Recommend practical actions and execution plans to counter competitions for sales manager review.
• Prepare sales reports and report projected sales / margin forecasts.
• Track and highlight unusual increases / decreases in customer demand.
• Prepare & present sales pipelines for bi-weekly sales meetings.
• Coordinate continuous improvement activities to enhance sales processes, sales plans, customer satisfaction, etc.
• Initiate discussion with delayed payment customers. Investigate, resolve and log customer issues and advise on follow-up actions with external & internal stakeholders.
• Maintain relationships with customers, through managing and interpreting their requirements.
• Follow up with customers, respond to queries and obtain further orders.
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
• Support internal stakeholders in relationship development with key customers.
• Ability to conduct high-impact sales presentations and negotiate contracts.
• Willing to travel for sales visits.
• Prioritize thorough preparation before sales visits, including familiarizing yourself with product information, the company catalog, brochures, and comprehending the customer's workflow process to make informed suggestions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Science, Microbiology or equivalent. Preferably 3 years experience in sales role or similar.
• Demonstrate good working knowledge and strong selling skills.
• Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrate good working knowledge and understanding of the industry / market / competitors / customers.
• Demonstrate basic research and analytical skills.
• Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Demonstrate fluency in local language and ideally in English, both written and spoken.
